Millions of swine flu vaccine has been prepared by the World Health Organization to deliver to the developing countries.
Till now more than 4 million doses of swine flu vaccine has been delivered to about 17 countries. From the vaccine donated to WHO by the pharmaceutical companies and industrialized countries there are about 180 million doses of vaccine in stock.
WHO spokesman Gregory Hartl said that nearly 95 developing countries have requested the vaccine. He also said that WHO has planned to distribute the vaccines to 25 countries in Africa, Central America and Eastern Europe.
WHO report further said that nearly 17,000 people have died of swine flu in 213 countries and union territories and the most active areas of the virus are in Southeast Asia and West Africa.
WHO also added that it has delivered the first shipment of vaccine to Cuba and Nigeria will receive about 2.8 million doses of swine flu vaccine.
