Activity of the swine flu remains low and the seasonal flu vaccine program is on full swing.
As per WHO (World Health Organization) report on March 12 2010 there was 16713 flu related deaths. And 16,000 laboratory confirmed cases were reported worldwide since the pandemic began in April 2009.
WHO is continuing to monitor the progress of the virus. Currently the most active areas of transmission are Southeast Asia and only limited data suggests that transmission seems to increase in parts of West Africa.
