As per today Brazil has the highest swine flu death rate in the world. So far 577 people have died because of swine flu. On last Friday the recorded deaths were 488 within a week time the 89 deaths were reported.

Before the winter pours the H1N1 virus the authorities are seeking to get enough vaccine to protect the high risk group people as well as health care workers.
According to HSE about 500,000 vaccine doses are expected to be available by the mid to late of October.
The first jabs are identified to 80,000 health care workers, 400,000 high risk people under the age of 65 having bad health condition. It had been urged that the health care workers have to be given the high priority as they come in direct contact with the affected people.

First time in the swine history the H1N1 virus has been found outside humans and pigs. The virus has been traced in turkeys in Chile late Thursday. The authorities said that there was no sign that the disease had spread to other parts of Chile.

Till now about 1799 people have died of swine flu plague since the new ailments was exposed in April says WHO on its website. This rate is higher than the 1462 deaths reported by the UN health agency last week.

Since H1N1 virus is spreading very fast all over the globe, a village in Gujarat has asked his NRIs to come to the Navratri and diwali holidays if they have no swine flu infection. This information was revealed outside the panchayat office in Gujarat jaasalpur village.
About 1,100 people are settled in US, UK, and Canada out of 3,500 people. Of the people settled in aboard at least 300 will visit the village this year and since fear of swine flu is increasing we have taken this decision says Anil Kumar Patel Sarpanch of the village.
In spite of getting the remittances from abroad the village has made this estrangement. The village gates, street lights and temples have been build with the donation done by the NRIs.
Even the parents of the NRIs are firm in their decision to support the idea taken by the village.
Somabhai Patel a resistant of the village said that “I have told my son, daughter-in-law adn the grandchildren to come here if it is absolutely necessary and that too with proper medical check up”.
So the final massage this village has given to its NRIs is that they will be allowed inside the village if they have the proper medical certificate that indicates that they are free from virus.
The residents of the Jaasalpur village are following the best principle that says “Prevention is better than cure.”

Ahmadabad: An IIM girl student who has been tested positive for the swine flu has posed a prodigious confront to the Gujarat government and the medical authorities. Without any ones knowledge the girl had left to her home in Delhi by flight.
The authorities tracked the girl living with her father who is a doctor in Ram Monahar Lohia hospital at Delhi. At present the government is tracing all the people who have travelled along with girl in the plane and also her classmates.

As schools and theatres that were closed in Pune about a week before is about to reopen tomorrow. However, the government said the still the fear of the pandemic disease is increasing and so the school and cinema hall will remain closed till August 23. Indian Medical Association President Dr. Dilip Sarda has welcomed this step and he said that the H1N1 virus would remain the human body for about 7 days. Hence, the authorities have taken the right decision.
While Pune have decided to close the school for another week, Chicagoland government has made new rules to keep the students healthy. The government has said that the students who report to school with the temperature of 100 degrees will be sent to home without any exception. In addition, the students will not be allowed to attend the class till they recover from the fever fully.
The absenteeism will be tracked by the school nurse and they will report about the children health to the country health departments. The school teachers will continue to teach the students some common precautions such as washing hands and covering their nose and mouth while they cough and sneeze. The health supervisor Ellen Wolff said, “We’re on alert”.
With the governments of various state precaution to fight against the Swine flu virus the youths are bit scared of by getting affected by the swine bug. The death of the 27-year-old boy named Shilpa Hegde who died on Saturday in Bangalore has increased the fear of the youths. Though the number of the infected people is less in number compared to last week in Bangalore the youngster are rushing to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases to test them whether they are affected by the H1N1 virus.
Devraj a software engineer aged 24 said that he had light headache and running nose so he want to make sure whether he has infected by the H1N1 virus or not. The four or five victims in the city were youth and this is the fact the youths are rushing at the swine flu screening centre.
A male in the military camp is the latest swine flu casualty and is the second person to die in the country. He died yesterday evening in the country’s eastern region. But the health executive gave a brief statement about the death only after 11pm last night confirming the death.

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev says people to practice yoga to prevent them from Swine flu. Talking to the reporters in New Delhi on Tuesday he advised people to practice yoga as a preventive measure.
He added that “People with strong immune system cannot be affected with swine flu. Through yoga and pranayama you can keep your immune system, particularly the respiratory system, strong”.
He also said the media was creating fear among the peoples. “There is a lot of panic among the people. The news channel round the clock make it breaking news every time there is a death due to swine flu”, added Ramdev.
He also advised people to wear face masks in the public places. With increasing numbers of the swine flu affected cases the central government has taken control measure to prevent the spread of this disease. The government has also ordered the private labs and hospitals to test and to treat the infected people.
