Since H1N1 virus is spreading very fast all over the globe, a village in Gujarat has asked his NRIs to come to the Navratri and diwali holidays if they have no swine flu infection. This information was revealed outside the panchayat office in Gujarat jaasalpur village.
About 1,100 people are settled in US, UK, and Canada out of 3,500 people. Of the people settled in aboard at least 300 will visit the village this year and since fear of swine flu is increasing we have taken this decision says Anil Kumar Patel Sarpanch of the village.
In spite of getting the remittances from abroad the village has made this estrangement. The village gates, street lights and temples have been build with the donation done by the NRIs.
Even the parents of the NRIs are firm in their decision to support the idea taken by the village.
Somabhai Patel a resistant of the village said that “I have told my son, daughter-in-law adn the grandchildren to come here if it is absolutely necessary and that too with proper medical check up”.
So the final massage this village has given to its NRIs is that they will be allowed inside the village if they have the proper medical certificate that indicates that they are free from virus.
The residents of the Jaasalpur village are following the best principle that says “Prevention is better than cure.”
