Nearly 700,000 vaccines were distributed in the King County said he country council. Health officials are getting ready for the next wave of the diseases.
Due to the recent swine flu outbreak about 700,000 swine flu vaccine were distributed in the king county.
Last year the officials declared an emergency thinking that the disease would spread rapidly and might have significant impacts. And last spring several schools closed due to the fear of the swine flu. By March the county council said that the about 273 people have been hospitalized and 18 swine flu related deaths was recorded.
And in Washington nearly 76 people have died of swine flu since last September 19 and 1400 have been hospitalized.
At the time of the recent outbreak more than 25,000 poor people was not able to get the flu shots from the public health and community health centers. And more than 1000 homeless people have been vaccinated by the outreach team.
