Alvaro Uribe was hit by the H1N1 virus after his return from a regional summit in Argentina.
The official spokesmen said on Sunday that president is doing well after the treatments.
The president Alvaro suffered from the symptoms on Saturday and when he underwent a medical check up he was confirmed that he had the H1N1 virus, render by the spokesman statement.
The statement also added that the president continuous to work and he will be isolated for sometime till he recovers.
The spokesman also said the president office has sent a report to governments of other countries that took part in the summit to check if anyone else has been affected by the swine virus.
It also added that the people who came in close contact with the president are also being monitored.
Till now Colombia has reported 34 swine deaths along with 621 infected cases while Latin America the worlds most affected region reported 1,300 deaths.
Uribes frequent detractor Chavez said that he feels sorry for Uribe and he hopes that the virus does not affect his over all health and nobody else comes down for the virus. He also added that the president will be soon early as he is young and he exercise regularly.

Brazil America’s largest country has the highest swine flu death rate in the world a report from the health ministry says.
The report also says that till now 557 people have died of swine flu in Brazil. While Argentina is in the third place with 439 deaths and US in the second place.
