The world health organization on its weekly report said that the death toll would have been rise to 14,142 from 588 from a week ago.
Announcing the latest data on the H1N1 virus the report said that south Asia, North Africa and the few regions in Eastern Europe are now witnessing the most active stage of the virus.
The virus in the northern hemisphere has been very pointy between the months of later October to late November.
America has so far recorded 7,094 deaths since the virus first detected in Mexico last year. And it is the country with the greatest number of victims.
And Europe would have recorded 3,099 and in East Asia and pacific region there would be at least 2, 877 deaths.
