Yesterday the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control said that among 31 European countries Ireland ranks 11 for swine flu information. It has 767 laboratory confirmed cases.

But this is not the true number as many people with the flu like symptoms is not swabbed for the laboratory analysis.

The other European countries that are worst affected are Germany (15, 567), UK (13,095), Portugal (2,244), Italy (1,800), Greece (1,839) and Spain (1,538).

Some countries lack proper supervision facilities and this may be the reason that gives the impression that the country has low swine flu information than the others.

Health experts have also warned that since swine flu is the prevailing one, people should not avoid vaccinating themselves against other seasonal flu’s and other dreadful diseases. They also said that authorities are planning to vaccinate the health care workers against the normal flu before winter.
