Nicola Roxon the federal health minister of Australia launched the biggest vaccination program as a step to fight the swine flu virus.
Health minister said that the program has 21 million doses of vaccine and it cost around $100 million to the government

At the start of the program, a total of about 5.5 million doses of vaccine have been distributed all over the country

The fist vaccine program has been started to vaccinate about 30 percent of the total population

Ms Roxon told the reporters that she was very much satisfied about the vaccination program and also said the vaccines are strong and effective

Health minister refused the negative facts about the vaccine and said the some might get side effects like mild sickness or aching arm. But this is much better than getting into swine flu said she

It seems that till January 2 million doses of swine flu vaccine might be available each month

Health minister have advised people with high risk illness group, pregnant women and people suffering from chronic illness to get the vaccine immediately

50 year old women died of swine flu last week in Flinders Medical Centre. She was the 26th victim for the pandemic outbreak.

8944 cases of swine flu were recorded in the state. And four fresh swine flu infected cases have been admitted in the hospital this week.

The news arrived as the swine flu vaccines are ready to offer to aged 10 and elder.

The government officials have advised the pregnant women and people suffering from chronic illness to get an appointment to get the swine flu jab.

John Hill the health minister said that there is enough swine flu vaccine for everybody.

This week two women died of swine flu in Queensland taking the death rate of the country to 39.

Of the two one women was aged 45 and the other was aged 50 both died in the southeast Queensland hospital.

The health department said that women suffering from obesity, liver diseases, renal, heart disease, diabetes, respiratory problem and pregnant women are more prone to the swine flu infection.

The two women who died on late Tuesday also belongs this susceptible group.
The health department also warns the smokers are also at a high risk.
Till now the country has 58 swine flu confirmed cases out of which 18 are in ICU.
