The total death toll in the country rises to 1,196 with two more deaths due to swine flu. The deaths were reported in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday. The total number of deaths in the states is as follows. 311 in Maharashtra, 217 in Gujarat, 175 in Rajasthan, 141 in Karnataka, 92 in Delhi, 52 in Andhra Pradesh, 38 in Punjab, 36 in Kerala, 33 in Haryana, 20 in Madhya Pradesh, 18 in Uttar Pradesh, 13 in Uttarakhand, 8 each in Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh, 7 in Tamil Nadu, 6 in from Chhattisgarh and Puducherry, 5 in Goa, 4 in Jammu and Kashmir, 3 in Orissa, 2 in Assam and 1 in Mizoram.
In addition the health officials said that 15 fresh cases of swine flu infection were recorded in the country from different states. The cases were from 9 in Gujarat, 5 in Karnataka, and 1 in Delhi. So the total number of swine flu affected cases in the country rises to 28,611.

Two people died of swine flu last week. The total death rate goes to 198, said the Director General.
Manit Theeratantikarn director general of the disease control department said that two people have died last week because of swine flu taking the total toll of the country to 198 since the national pandemic opened last year April.
The two victims were a 37 year old woman and an 82 year old man.
He further added that from January 11 to January 15 more than 15,011 people from 56 provinces have received the flu shots. Of the total people 11,189 were healthy people, 1,971 were pregnant women, 107 were with obesity, 1,705 were sick persons, and 84 were disabled. Of all, only eight people have reported side effects after receiving the flu vaccine.

9 swine flu deaths on Monday. The country toll goes to 1,070. The health authorities said.
The health authorities said that 9 people have died of swine flu virus on Monday. With this the country toll rises to 1,070.
At the same time 83 fresh cases of swine flu were reported from all over the country. Thus the total number of infected people rises to 27,795.
Of the 9 deaths two deaths were reported from the national capital Delhi and four were reported from Rajasthan. The deaths occurred earlier but were confirmed on Monday while one person died on Monday due to swine flu.

Deputy nodal officer Anjana Prakash said that with the two deaths the Delhi’s Swine flu death goes up to 87. The latest two victims are a 41 year old man and 36 year old woman. He further said that both of the victims were admitted in the hospital with sever lung infections and then diagnosed with the swine flu infection.
And on Monday the city reported6 new cases of swine flu taking the cumulative total of the city to 9,562. About 50 % of the infected where the children Delhi.
Other cities that reported the new cases of swine flu were Maharashtra (20), Rajasthan (14), Gujarat (13), Punjab (7), and Haryana (3).

One each in Ahmedabad and Jamnagar died of swine flu virus on Sunday.
On last Sunday two more people have died of swine flu. The victims were a 25 year old Usha Rana and 28 year old Anamika Hkare.
Usha Rana was admitted at the civil hospital in Ahmedabad after she succumbed the H1N1 virus.
Both the victims were treated seriously after they confirmed the infection of the swine flu. With these two deaths the total number of deaths in the state rises to 120.
At the same time 24 new cases of swine flu infection were reported on Sunday. The cases were reported Ahmedabad (8), Rajkot (6), other cases were reported from Amreli, Jamnagar, Vadodara, and Junagadh.
