Two Malaysian women residing in Kuala Lumpur have died of swine flu. Both the women belong to the same family.

A woman and her daughter who was pregnant have died of swine flu. But the baby born to the younger woman is free of the swine flu virus.

Liow Tiong Lai health minister of the country said that 54 year old woman died in the hospital on Wednesday and she had complication of the diabetes. And her daughter who is 29 years old died two days later. When tested for swine flu both of them tested positive but the new born baby was tested negative for swine flu.

He also added that the baby was born after 36 weeks gestation and was in steady condition. But he did not reveal the date when the baby was born.

With the latest deaths the total number of swine flu deaths reaches to 80. And WHO (World Health Organization) said that about 17,500 people have died of swine flu all over the world.
