8 year old girl death in pune on Friday has sprinkled the fears in the mind of many doctors and paramedics who had refused to get vaccinated assuming that H1N1 virus has lost its potential.

Doctors who had refused to get vaccinated against the H1N1 virus have now given their consent for vaccination with the death of an 8 year old girl.

5000 doctors and paramedics are ready to be get vaccinated when the flu shots arrives next week. More doctors have come forward looking for the vaccine said the Additional Chief Secretary Sharvaree Gokhale.

Senior officer of the state government said that all the doctors and paramedics were given a form asking where they want get the swine flu vaccine. Following girl’s death many doctors have come forward to rework their forms. The final count says that only 100 doctors have said no to the swine flu vaccine.

Pune Sassoon General Hospital Dean Dr. Arun Jamkar said that there was a talk about the adverse effects of the swine flu vaccine the doctors were right in taking it. He said that according to me the virus keeps on changing its anti-genecity and hence the efficacy of the vaccine would be variable. The latest trend suggests that there might be at least one or two deaths related to swine flu every month. So it would be wise decision to get the swine flu shots. He further added that about 90% of the doctors who have attended the swine flu cases have decided to get the flu shots.
