One person died of swine flu virus taking India's death rate to 463. And the country had recorded 75 fresh cases of swine flu. With these the number of swine flu cases rises to 13,722.


On Thursday one more person died of swine flu taking the toll of the country to 463. And 75 fresh cases were reported all around the country. With these fresh new cases the total number of infected person goes to 13,722.
And 75 new cases were reported across the country.

Around 72,483 people samples were tested for swine flu infection from those tested about 18.9% of them have been tested positive for the virus.

The fresh cases were reported from Kerala, Delhi and Maharashtra.

48-year-old women died of swine flu on Sunday afternoon. She was the first victim to die of swine flu in Punjab.

The women belongs to the Solan town in Himachal Pradesh was admitted in a private hospital as she has the symptoms of swine flu. The hospital authorities send her throat and nasal swab samples to Chandigarh for test.

However, the women died on Sunday afternoon, her test result came only on late Sunday, and the report said that she was tested positive.

With three more swine flu deaths India death rate rises to 408. Two people have died in Maharashtra and one in Uttarakhand. Now Maharashtra has 173 swine flu deaths and Uttarakhand has reported its third swine flu death

Each day the death rate of the country goes up and the number of infected cases also increases.

As per now seven people have died across the country taking the death toll to 351. Maharashtra has reported the largest number of deaths. With the seven deaths 176 new swine flu cases were also reported in the country.

The new swine flu cases were reported by Maharashtra (48), Karnataka (29) and Delhi with 27 cases.

Himachal Pradesh has two new swine flu cases taking the total number of infected persons to 4.

Due to the continuing rise in swine flu infection the health officials have asked the people to follow a personal Hygiene. They also said the hygiene is very important since the upcoming winter season may increase the spread of the swine flu virus.

Officials said the people should immediately consult their doctors if they seem to have flu like symptoms and should take the correct treatment.

Sangli a district in pune has four new cases of swine flu while the district met its first swine flu death on late Sunday.

The victim was a 35 year old man (victim Krishnadev Dattatray Mahajan). It seems that the victim was suffering from fever, cough and throat infection from 18th September 2009.

He was admitted in the Sassoon hospital on September 28th and his throat swab was taken for testing. The report that came on September 30 confirmed his infection towards the swine flu.

Then the man was put on ventilator and the doctor’s administered him with Tamilfu. But then he was already an asthma patient his condition became worse and developed serious respiratory diseases.

Of the people’s who have tested positive for the swine flu three are the relatives of Krishnadev Dattatray Mahajan and the other was a 28 year old man from a village in Miraj.

With 4 fresh cases in Sangli the country has 164 fresh cases of swine flu infection. In which Maharashtra has 56 cases, Delhi has 27 cases, Tamil Nadu has 23 cases, Haryana has 12 cases, Kerala has 7 cases and Gujarat has 4 cases.

And four people died in Maharashtra (the highest death reported city) taking the toll of the country to 344. With 164 fresh cases of swine flu the number of infected people goes to 10,894.
