WHO says that swine flu is widespread in East Africa and the statistics from who says that the region has accounted the highest number of swine flu confirmed cases.

As per the WHO until October 4, Tanzania has reported 174 swine flu confirmed cases in the East African countries and Kenya with 154 cases in the same region.

According to the global health report, 70 deaths were accounted across the continent.

In addition, East African countries were the first country in Africa to receive the vaccine for the global outbreak.
Authorities of Ugandan education have ordered all schools to cancel all the inter school activities and visitation in order to prevent crowding of students and peoples which help the virus to spread faster.
Another measure taken by the authorities is that there should be 0.6-meter gap between the beds in the hospitals and the swine flu infected persons should be isolated.
Due to the increase number of swine flu, IRC (International Rescue Committee) said that it has prepared all the emergency plans to deal with the H1N1 virus

The Tunisia government on Tuesday announced that the residents of Tunisians will not be allowed to take a trip to Saudi Arabia for Hajj Pilgrimage for the fear of swine flu infection.

This is the fist country that has made the announcement and on other country has taken steps to prevent their citizens from taking their Hajj Pilgrimage.

The religious minister of the country said that the decision was made by the government because of the rapid spread of the virus.

He also said that about 90% of the residents have postponed their trip this year.
