WHO also stated that Algeria has so far recorded 33 cases swine flu cases, Angola with 11 cases, Botswana with 23 cases, Cameroon with 4 cases, Cape Verde with 46 cases, Cote D’Ivoire with 2 cases, Democratic Republic of Congo with 1 case, Ethiopia with 4 cases, Gabon with 1, Ghana with 10 cases, Kenya with 85 cases, Lesotho with 14 cases, Madagascar with 15 cases, Mauritius with 69 cases, Mozambique with 1, Namibia with 52 cases, Seychelles with 3 cases, South Africa with 7,606 cases.
Meantime South Africa has recorded 1,735 new swine flu cases and four new deaths.
Other states that reported fresh swine flu cases are as follows: Tanzania (97), Uganda (13), Zambia (13), Zimbabwe (5) and Swaziland (2).
With the increasing spread of the swine flu infection WHO has advised people not to be alarmed for the global outbreak but to follow the hygienic practices and take necessary preventive measures.

And the country has 7000 laboratory confirmed cases of swine flu. Gauteng has the highest number of swine flu infected people. The flu is increasing in the kwazulu-natal and Western Cape.
At the Westminster College at new Wilmington two students have been diagnosed with the flu. But they will be confirmed the infection of swine only after few days since it take a long time for the rest results.
The students reported to the student health care center with the symptoms of the flu and were diagnosed as having influenza. Both the students are isolated and are being treated for the flu infection.

37 year old man who died at oshikango on Friday has been confirmed his death is due to swine flu.
The man was suffering from pneumonia and consulted a private doctor at the border before returning to Namibia. His pneumonia has progressed severely before he got to meet his doctor. After that he died shortly.
After his death the throat swabs was taken for the test of swine flu. Result arrived on Friday confirmed his death was due to the global pandemic. And he was the first swine flu death in the country.
Till now Namibia has 44 laboratory confirmed cases of swine flu from all over the country.
The reports from the ministry said that the efforts are taken to see how people are affected by the swine flu virus and the reported cases are only mild and the patients are recovering well.
Out of the 44 confirmed cases 13 were from Hardap region, 8 form khomas, 7 were from otjozondjupa, 5 were from karas, 3 were from kavango, 2 were from omaheke and one from each Kunene and oshikoto.
At present South Africa have 6000 confirmed swine flu cases and 27 flu related deaths.
